Saturday combined class: Spiritual Fasting and Sacred Space

This Saturday, June 26th, will be a combined class, Spiritual Fasting and Sacred Space. This is the perfect combination for the dedication of the new Multi-Purpose Room, and a wonderful preparation for all of us on our Divine Journey in this life.

Spiritual Fasting:

This class is on spiritual fasting, fasting with a divine purpose. There are many reasons to fast for brief periods of time; but a spiritual fast differs immensely from a health fast. Although the body goes without food during a spiritual fast, it does not have to suffer the effects of malnutrition. I cannot explain this scientifically; but I can attest to it through personal experience. The spiritual fast nourishes the body, mind, and spirit. Certain elements of the spiritual fast are paramount to the heightened spiritual experience. In this 2-hour class, the essential elements of the spiritual fast will be discussed. COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Paranormal Investigator Certification course is designed for students wishing to conduct paranormal investigations and research apparition and ghost sightings, the nature of the soul, poltergeist activity, and voice, electronic, and photographic evidence of paranormal activity. Included is an electronic EMF meter, a proprietary manual and syllabus to guide you step-by-step through your studies. The course includes certificate from Flamel College and laminated ID card.

Participants will not be required to purchase any other materials for the course.

COURSE DATES:

The workshops are scheduled four Saturdays in a row at 6 PM, beginning July 10th. *

* IMPORTANT: Originally scheduled to begin July 3rd (a holiday weekend.) Some people will be out of town.
The start date for these workshops has been changed to Saturday, July 10th. *

You will not be charged more than $60; but if I am able to get better discounts, you will be refunded any overpayment you made for materials.) Gift offerings are welcome to assist with additional costs above the Flamel College materials; but no additional donations are required, and you will not be pressured to pay more.

Paranormal Investigator Team Opening – DFW

I have immediate opening for a paranormal investigator on a client-based team in the Mid Cities area of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. No experience is required. Training will be provided. Education with certification is available for nominal cost to cover materials only.

WHO WE ARE

The Phenomenal Spirit Investigations (PSI) team is a client-based paranormal investigation team being formed in the DFW Metroplex that is dedicated to providing supportive services to individuals having concerns about possible paranormal activity.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Prospective team members should have a sincere interest in paranormal investigation and research, good attention to detail, a willingness to follow a simple code of ethics and guidelines for investigation, and to be honest and reliable with a genuine desire to be of service. This is a non-paying position. Team members will supply their own equipment at their own expense, and equipment can be as simple as a digital recorder or camera. Expensive equipment is not a requirement; but is optional at the discretion of the team member.

Applicants must be over 18 yrs of age, live in the North Texas area and have reliable transportation. All prospective team members are required to show proper identification, and complete the membership application and any additional forms. Team members must satisfactorily complete a 90 day probationary period. Other terms, requirements and/or stipulations may apply.

WHAT WE DO

We follow the basic format outlined in the brochure available online at http://www.phenomenalspiritinvestigations.org/ in the “Freebies” section called, “Living with a Haunting.” We will get a history of the paranormal activity of the location, a team member will visit the location for planning the investigation (a quick walk-through and a few notes), and we will schedule the investigation time with the client when the home will be empty. After evaluating our findings, we will provide the client with a report. That’s a standard investigation. But we offer additional services that will be provided during and after the investigation if they are needed and desired, including communicating with the entity or entities, prayer walking the property, clearing the home and property, blessing and anointing individuals or property, spirit releasement, consultation with family members for support, and more. Services that are available to the family are offered free of charge based on the findings of the investigation, and may be accepted or refused by the family. It is our desire to be of service and to provide for the needs of the family in a manner that is acceptable to them.

Since we are a client-based organization, the level of confidentiality for investigation reports, photos, and information is completely at the client’s discretion. Every level of confidentiality from openly public to strict confidentiality with only the team having access to information is available. This, of course, is another reason for such close scrutiny in selecting team members. Paranormal investigators seeking fun and fame need not apply.

WHAT TEAM MEMBERS DO

Team members are encouraged to perform specialized tasks. These tasks can be rotated on separate investigations. Team positions may include; but are not limited to the following:

Case Manager - Obtains and evaluates investigation requests.
Historian/Interviewer - Gathers history and data from clients and performs on-site pre-investigation evaluation.
EVP Specialist - Uses recording devices to gather Electronic Voice Phenomena.
EMF Specialist - Uses electromagnetic frequency detector to gather EMF data.
Photographic Specialist - Uses camera for still and/or moving photography.
Environmental Specialist - Collects weather data and atmospheric information.
Evidence Analyst - Analyzes investigation findings.
Psychic/Medium/Channeler - Obtains psychic impressions, communicates with entities and/or channels spirit communication.
Spiritual Consultant/Minister - Provides spiritual counsel and ministerial services to clients and/or locations.
Parapsychologist - Collects data and assists clients with concerns related to extrasensory perception, psychokinesis and afterlife.
Demonologist - Assesses, catalogs, and interprets demonic activity and provides related services.
Other - If you have a specialized talent, skill, or experience that will benefit the team and/or clients, other roles can be identified.

Noisy neighbor resolution

Noisy neighbor resolution.

Well, when you turn something over to God, you just never know how he is going to work it out for you. Some things just amuse me in their resolution, and my noisy neighbor problem is amusing now.

I’ve lived in this apartment complex for many years, in two different apartments/buildings. And I’ve visited my sons, sometimes at length, in the older son’s apartment that he had for many years and in three different apartments that the younger son had in this complex since the mid 90s. So I think it’s safe to say that I have had my finger on the pulse of the neighborhood.

Historically it has been a very quiet neighborhood even with families with small children. That’s one thing that made it so attractive to me. I could always meditate any time any where. There might be the occasional loud talking from a balcony or loud laughter from the pool; but that was just people having fun; so it didn’t bother me.

So months ago when the upstairs neighbor moved in who bounds tirelessly across my ceiling day and night, and I could never have any peace in any room of my apartment because of the noise he makes all over the apartment, that was the final straw in a number of straws that broke me. It was the unceasing noise level from that one neighbor that could not be resolved that was what pushed me to make my decision to move to the absolutely perfect apartment that God answered my prayers with.

I’ve prayed and sought many blessings for this apartment, this building, this neighborhood, and this complex. I expected that the noisy neighbor would find another place to live and peace would be restored to the neighborhood, even if only after I leave.

The resolution that has come should not be surprising to me; but I hadn’t considered it when I turned it over to God. One by one other neighbors have been replaced in my building, and guess what! They, each in their own way, are every bit as noisy as the one that caused me to leave. Wow! Well, that’s one way to restore peace; to bring in like kinds. I just didn’t anticipate that.

Of course, in retrospect, it makes perfect sense. The neighborhood around us has changed over the years. A new neighboring complex first began bringing in unsavory tenants with the police frequenting their complex. Slowly that began happening in different buildings of this complex as well. Anger and bitterness, spitefulness, and hatred began to spike up here and there around the complex. The fabulous management team that we had for many years was replaced by people who seemed to have no experience and little concern for the people or the complex with many, many evidences of that. Good people with kind hearts and love for their fellowman were one by one replaced as neighbors by bitter, resentful, self-important boisterous neighbors here and there.

So, thank you God, angels, guides, and ministering spirits for nudging me lovingly but firmly into exactly what I asked for at another apartment complex. And thank you for resolving the noisy neighbor problem here for the next tenant, even if that resolution takes me a bit by surprise and with a little amusement at how things can be worked out in ways I would never have anticipated.

As my peaceful Sunday morning is broken up by the sounds of banging, yelling, and other noises, I remain at peace, knowing that the hand of God is still at work with Divine wisdom. There is a place for everyone on this Earth, and we are all His children. I am grateful to know that the neighborhood I am going to is more in alignment with my soul and me with it. And I am grateful that those who continue to live in this complex have found a home suitable for them as well. And I continue to ask for blessings for it and them.

Students will set up an actual or virtual paranormal investigation and document the results in a report (1,500 words). Students whose report is accepted within two attempts will receive certification from Flamel College. The course includes a guidebook, course syllabus, forms, paranormal investigation software and a DVD of an actual filmed investigation by a certified investigator.

The phenomenon has been captured using radios, televisions, tape recorders, telephones and answering machines, film, and a variety of digital equipment. Most paranormal researchers agree that EVP is an actual, recurring system of interdimensional communication. Students will be taught how to successfully capture EVP using a variety of equipment, how to set up EVP sessions, how to capture evidence of the phenomena, and how to record and analyze the results using the computer software provided. EVP is the fastest growing segment of paranormal research and many organizations are seeking certified EVP technicians. The course includes the EVP Technician Manual, setup check-sheets, a sampling of actual EVP recordings, and sound monitoring, editing, and enhancing software. Double-up on classes

I’m going to double-up on classes in May because I was not well enough in April to teach the “Living with the Paranormal” class. This time the online mini class will precede the local class so that at least one of them will be held on schedule. The mini class will be this coming Sunday, May 2 at 2 PM Central time on BlogTalk Radio.

The local class will follow the next Saturday, May 8 at 1 PM. Local classes are free; but registration is required and seating is limited.

I have a secret. I will be making some very special announcements that I am VERY excited about at the local class on May 8th. I’ll post the announcements after that. My group may have some input I want to include with the announcements online. I can hardly wait to share the news with you.

The next local class is scheduled as usual on the 4th Saturday, and will be “Sacred Space.” The online mini class will follow on the 1st Sunday of June.

I just can’t say, “Thank you” enough to all my beloveds who have prayed for my health and held me in a positive light during these past months. My new wonderful doc is working with me to manage my health issues as they arise. I can breathe without wheezing now. That alone is amazing! I was so keenly focused on the blood sugar thing that I never even considered blood pressure as the reason I felt so strange until the nurse said 204/98. Sigh. Yes, I am listening. Yes, I am getting new meds. Yes, I know. I know. Denial is a beautiful thing. You can believe anything you want to if you just don’t test. There are a lot of parallels for that statement. To reiterate, thank you all, thank you, God, thank you, angels, thank you, guides, thank you for guiding me to a doctor to bring me into wellness so that I can complete a few more things in this incarnation and be blessed to experience the richness of this life.

I appreciate everyone’s patience also while many of the services I offer are temporarily on hold as I prepare to move to a new location. No, I’m not going far. It’s still in the Mid-Cities; so you won’t have any trouble finding me. I’m so thrilled about the neighborhood I will be moving to in June. Sometimes one just has to listen to one’s guides. I kept getting the message that I wouldn’t be seeing clients in my home until after my move; but that just didn’t seem possible because they needed to schedule with me. Well, who knew my health would be derailed and so much would occur that would interfere with entertaining clients! But all is as it is supposed to be. I’m so sorry that I was unavailable to my precious friends and clients. And I know that this all had to occur as it did so that I would be guided to the doc and restore my health sufficient to complete my life mission. I should have just listened to my guides, even if what they were telling me didn’t make sense at the time. Ah, hindsight!

Phenomenal Spirit Investigations (PSI) is going active again, with a new plan.This group is open for discussion related to paranormal investigation. There are no prerequisites for joining the discussion group.

Later this year in 2010 or in 2011 I will consider putting together a group of serious individuals to form a team of paranormal investigators. Non-trained individuals will be considered equally with trained and experienced investigators. Members will be selected largely on their code of ethics, attention to detail, ability to document thoroughly and accurately, respectfulness of all persons, places, and entities, and willingness to abide by simple common-sense rules of behavior for investigations. This will be a non-paying part-time enterprise. Members may work with other groups if there is no conflict.

Intuitive Ramblings

OK, there is a reason why I had to cancel class today. I am doing what my doctor told me to do, getting plenty of rest and following his prescriptions including the meds that you all know I’d rather live without. (Medication has its place in life, and for this window of time I am blessed to have it available for my appropriate physical healing.) And, no I didn’t start any psychotropics. ; )

I was up during the wee hours of the morning; but went back to bed about daybreak for a rest, and slept quite well until I was awakened by one of those dilemma moments in a dream that is usually how my guides wake me up when I’m sleeping too soundly to process their messages. I haven’t smoked in 25 years and have no desire to do so; but in my dream I was carrying on a conversation with someone when I realized that I had a lit cigarette in my hand and accidentally flipped it onto the flannel robe I was covering with as a lap robe as I often do. The lit cigarette got caught up in the folds of the robe as I tried to get to it and was sizzling so that I knew a fire would break out in any moment. I almost never realize any physical infirmities in myself in my dreams; but I was aware that, as is true in my real life, I could not run or walk fast enough to get to water to extinguish the sizzling cigarette. And as my thoughts turned to sending my guest for water I knew that my guest could move less fast than I could. So my dilemma cycled. I could not get the folds of the robe apart to extract the cigarette as they were seared together, I could not extinguish the smoldering cigarette to prevent the flame up that was about to occur, and I could not get to water. So, I awoke.

I really just wanted to go back to sleep. After all, I am utterly exhausted from weeks of respiratory distress with the worst illness of my life and the ensuing asthmatic exacerbation. Sleep is so welcome now that I can breathe without wheezing all night and day (just since the doctor visit yesterday.) But now I was wide awake. Being the stubborn person that I am, I closed my eyes anyway in hopes that my alertness might pass and I might drift back into restful sleep. So the other thing that gets my attention occurred. I had a vision on the back of my eyelids. Now, if this had been any of the usual scenes of desks and rooms and windows, I could have ignored it. It’s sort of a remote viewing thing that happens in which I can pan around the room, focus in keenly and closely on items, and view the whole scene as clearly as if I were focusing with a camera most of the time. It would not be such a common scene. The scene emerged from the dark fogginess that is supposed to be on the back of my eyelids when I would rather just be asleep; but the colors and movement drew my attention. Darn it! And this is where it becomes less like remote viewing and more like mind reading or psychic connection with another person’s dreams or imaginings. It was highly animated toy furry animals in bright colors with polka dots and designs to catch my attention. I really didn’t want to see that; so I unfocused my gaze and tried to ignore them; but they kept moving and the colors kept drawing my gaze; so I opened my eyes to make the pictures clear away. Several times I tried closing my eyes again only to have more animated colorful animals come through the haze. I know how nutty that sounds. Really I do. My first love in life is science. And my second is psychology. I really, really know how bizarre that is. And thinking that very thought is what really got my mind going. First I thought of how that couldn’t be exactly remote viewing like so many of these experiences of the panorama on the back of my eyelids are. So what could it be then? How could I satisfy my analytical thinking to resolve what this experience is. As I ran through all those other thoughts, I was, of course, getting more and more alert.

I was able to close my eyes and run through all these thoughts now, with the colors occasionally dancing in the haze; but I was ignoring them to give my attention to analysis of the experience. Then my thoughts turned again to why I woke up in the first place. I ran through in my mind what I could recall of the dream that I was having and how odd it was. I remembered the guest I had been conversing with in my dream, and wondered why my guest was more infirmed than me. I thought, was my Uncle Poochie? No, that wasn’t right. Immediately I realized that it had been my grandmother. (Not Grandmother, my spirit guide; but Nannie, my biological grandmother who used to visit me regularly in my dreams after her death.) Oh, well, that got my attention. Nannie hasn’t visited my dreams in quite awhile. It’s never anything earth shattering when she comes. We just enjoy a good visit. I was glad I had been awakened so that I could know that she had come.

I rolled over and let my thoughts move onto the class I would have been teaching today and the general thinking on that topic that has been prevalent on my mind this week. I hadn’t been able to give my full attention to it, though, because of the extreme respiratory distress demanding my full attention. The topic for the class I was to teach is “Living with the Paranormal”. It is a class I am well qualified to teach based on life experience as well as studies; but it never seems quite complete. I have a very different perspective on the paranormal than what I once had, and very different from most people’s perspective. I rolled that thought around for a bit. I’ve said before that I offend everyone equally. I don’t set out to offend; but I have a different perspective; so the spiritual, religious, scientific, and paranormal people who are grounded in their beliefs, theories, and philosophies take offense on certain points of view that have that are in opposition to theirs. Could I be wrong? Absolutely! I can say that with such certainty because I have proven it to be true. There are things that I have believed to be true with consummate certitude for many long years only to one day discover that the indisputable truth was completely the opposite. Experience has taught me that it is possible that I could be wrong about anything. The joy of that is that there is never any need for debate. I can begin with, “I concede”. I could be indubitably one hundred percent wrong or any percentage lesser. And, my unspoken subsequent thought is naturally, “and so could you.” We are on equal ground when we are in diametric opposition. In fact, never are we so equal as when we are opposite.

Thinking of my peculiar perspectives and the topic of the class I would have been teaching today, I thought of things I’d like to say; but that are not a part of the outline of the class. I do have insight that I have only rarely hinted at because I know that it will meet with opposition and confusion. I’ve known this for many, many years. My guides began making me aware long, long ago that there are volumes of enlightenment that I am blessed with, that each of us is blessed with, that are not to be shared unless and until the time is right. Some truths we glean in this life are only for the individual, and we carry them past the grave with us into whatever comes after this physical existence. They are what I refer to as Greater Truths. Some Greater Truths can be shared; but ONLY when divine guidance moves us to share them and ONLY with those whom we are guided to share. It’s timing and the fertile ground of a soul prepared to receive the Greater Truth that determine the place and time for sharing it. We all have the opportunity to receive Greater Truths for ourselves and for those we are in service of. Well, you see why I began referring to this as my ministry a few years back.

In my younger adult life I searched relentlessly for Truth, convinced that somewhere in the world there was someone with a volume of knowledge on any particular point of theory, philosophy, religious question, or dilemma who could enlighten me. I was certain that untiring research and open minded investigation would yield complete results to resolve whatever question was perplexing me. In some instances I searched for many long years for the answer to one simple question. What I discovered over these many years is that there is not one single person with one volume of knowledge on the face of the earth that is complete. There is always more. There is always more because even science gets rewritten. No body of knowledge is complete because there is always more to know. There is more depth of knowledge, more scope of knowledge, more perspectives to consider. And no body of knowledge is complete on it’s own because I have something to add to it (and so do you.) My life experience, my thought process, my intuition, my divine guidance all give me a unique perspective that adds to a body of knowledge, no matter how well researched and composite it may be (and so does yours.) So what that means to my life purpose is that I am here to add to whatever I draw into my life. Sometimes the adding to is unspoken and unseen; but it becomes a part of me. And sometimes the adding to is to be shared. For most of my life the adding to was rarely shared. Bit by bit, I have been sharing glimpses of it for the past few years as I am guided to. And my physical experience of late has put me in the mindset that I am running out of time. Whether I have another year in this physical vessel or another 50 years, I am aware that I have less time now than I had I had before, and there is a limit to how long the physical body can maintain my life force in this incarnation.

Sometimes a philosophy, theory, belief, or opinion that is not congruent with our own spurs us on to greater thought. That process may lead us to greater conviction or understanding of what we already believed, add to that belief, or move us into a new belief or understanding. I tell my students to question everything. By questioning, we examine, research, evaluate, and re-evaluate. We should question ourselves as well as the information given to us by others. As we do, we discover that any volume of truth or supposed truth is incomplete, and we add to it by our examination of it.

I am seeking divine guidance now in knowing what and when to share of the peculiar perspectives I have on the paranormal. I say that with a bit a wince because I know that, as I’ve said before, “I offend everyone equally.” I abhor debate, and choose not to participate in it. I say up front to find the truth for yourself and that I could be wrong about anything. But I have to question myself if I am refusing to put some of these thoughts down in writing because I don’t know how to explain them, because the world isn’t ready for them, or because I just don’t want to deal with the opposition.

I’ll be devoting my prayers today to that question.

Respiratory Distress and Sessions

I owe an explanation to my clients regarding why there is a delay in scheduling sessions now that I am over the bronchitis. The short version is that it is requisite that I be able to breathe and speak in order to conduct a session. I will explain in greater detail.

Those of you who know me well know that I don’t like discussing my physical infirmities. I generally give very brief answers to questions about my physical condition. There are a number of reasons for this choice; but the most basic reason is simply that I choose not to focus on or give power to that which is unpleasant or less desireable. I don’t ignore it; but speaking of negatives gives them a place to exist in our lives, and I choose not to make them a home.

So, why am I going to give out the details now? Well, first of all, it creates less focus on my part if I post the explanation once and refer anyone who needs the information to it. But also I do need to provide the appropriate data that may be needed for decision making for those who are awaiting an open slot in my schedule. More time is needed for recovery than I had anticipated. For those who cannot wait for my recovery, I am honored to be able to refer them to someone who can attend to their immediate needs. I know that I am divinely called to be in service of my fellow man. And I know that I am temporarily limited in that service by the limitations of this physical vessel which I inhabit. For me, personally, that is a charge to attend to all that requires my attention during this out-of-service (or limited service) period. For those whom I would serve, that means delay or outside referral. I would do well to change my perspective and see this as a choice; but I have not released all of my resistance to the down-time. I’m working on that.

You may or may not be aware that I have had Reactive Airway Disease (RAD), or asthma, for many, many years. Like mother before me, the RAD came after a very serious bout of bronchitis many years ago when I was in my thirties. Until this episode of bronchitis I would describe that as the worst illness of my life, and one during which I spent many hours thinking that my next breath, if could get air in, might be my last.

Last month I had what I now refer to as the worst illness of my life, rivaling that one many years before. This episode of acute bronchitis was of such severity that even calling it “bronchitis” pales in comparison to the actual experience. Respiratory distress was exhausting to the point of exacerbation with fine crackles (rales) and wheezes (rhonchi) that are almost indescribable. The worst was the wet gurgling that always seemed to follow or coincide with the crackles.

After four trips to the doctor’s office, oral and intramuscular antibiotics, medications to manage the symptoms, and taking four breathing treatments a day, finally I was blessed with healing of the acute case of bronchitis. But the respiratory distress was far from over. What lingers still is the breathing problems that are very slowly resolving. I awaken every morning at 4 AM with significant respiratory distress. The breathing treatments make me shake for hours afterward; so I have been trying every alternative method I know to reduce the frequency of the medicated nebulizer treatments. Throughout the day, every day, I have numerous episodes of respiratory distress of varying severity. Like asthma, the usual triggers will prompt an episode instantly (physical activity, allergens, and smoke). But perhaps RAD is a better descriptor. A moment or two after the wheezing begins, congestion occurs within my upper airways that will not resolve until I can cough deeply enough to expectorate. If there are no more triggers and I remain perfectly still other than the coughing, that may clear the episode, or it may repeat any number of times. The episode may last minutes or hours. And often these episodes seem to occur without any trigger at all, just spontaneously. At this point the amount of time each day that I am in respiratory distress is greater than or equal to the amount of time that I can breathe without obstruction. In order to perform sessions, I need that time ratio to be the exact opposite in the very least.

I am very thankful for the blessings of healing that are at work. I hope to be able continue in my calling and my ministry very soon.

Know Your Guides Class Canceled

I have to cancel the local and online classes on “Know Your Guides” because I am just not up to it after being so not well.
I’m still having to take a breathing treatment once or twice a day, and the respiratory stuff is just exhausting.
